A Chicago native, I have been engaged in the creative and performing arts since early childhood. I discovered yoga in 2001 and have since dedicated my life to its study and practice. Experienced in Hatha, Vinyasa, and Kripalu yoga, my fluid style combines key elements of these lineages.
I was introduced to Kripalu yoga in 2007, drawn to its message of compassion and consciousness. In 2008, I completed the month-long 200 hour yoga teacher training at the Kripalu Center (Stockbridge, MA) led by Priti Robyn Ross and Rudy Pierce. More recently, I assisted Devarshi Steven Hartman and Priti Robyn Ross in the same training program and initiated nearly sixty new yoga teachers. In the fall of 2010, I will embark on Kripalu’s 500 hour training program.
In 2008, I began to study Ayurveda and integrate it into my life style and yoga practice. Inspired by the positive results, I started training at Kanyakumari Ayurveda (Milwaukee, WI) to be certified as an Ayurvedic Practitioner in 2011.
Kripalu-inspired Hatha yoga is my passion. My gentle approach focuses on awareness and honors individual uniqueness. Emphasis is on intuitive sequences that stretch, strengthen, and open the body. Ayurveda informs my instruction by addressing seasonal observances and different body types. My goal as a teacher and healer is to help people access infinite wisdom within, and as a result, their true selves.
I am available for private yoga sessions as well as group classes, workshops, and ayurvedic consultations. I live in Milwaukee with my husband and work in the Milwaukee and Chicago areas.
