I am inspired in my practice and study of yoga by the profound power of yoga
to address and teach us the essential integrity of our being. Having
turned early to nature and literature and, later, to philosophy and poetry
to answer a longing both for insight into the meaning of our human experience
and an ever deeper connection to the life within and around us, I have found
and continue to find great joy and illumination in the ancient art and science
of yoga. Yoga offers a practical understanding of our human experience
which points, through its various practices and teachings, to the deepest sources
of our life's essential beauty, energy and identity. The focus of my
practice is cultivating my attunement to the integrating power of the asana,
pranayama, and purifying techniques of yoga. I have practiced yoga for
7 years and received my training and certification in yoga along with training
in the basic principles of Ayurveda from 7 Centers Yoga Arts in Sedona, AZ,
a training rooted in the Tantric techniques of yoga and Kriya.
