Yoga Nidra is a practice of yogic sleep, in which the practitioner reaches the deepest state of relaxation while maintaining a fully lucid consciousness. Yoga nidra develops a deeper relationship with your Self, cleanses the body and mind of tension, and related symptoms, which according to a study documented in the International Journal of Yoga, includes headaches, neck tension, digestion disruptions, insomnia, and has been proven to benefit survivors of PTSD, and chronic pain. Yoga nidra decreases cortisol levels, depression, anxiety, promotes physical and psychological well-being, vitality, general health, stress management. We will prepare the body with several yoga postures and breath techniques.
